Yesterday my in car adaptor on my quest gave up the ghost. It was out of
warranty. I called Garmin UK early afternoon asking if they can take a look
and with no hesitation the gentleman I spoke to on the phone said he would
get a new one in the post straight away. It turned up this morning with no
request for payment. Stunning customer service which is all to rare
nowadays. My next GPS will be another Garmin !!!!!!

What number did you call as my eTrex is in need of a little love and the
numbers I have for refurb or service are all in the US?

Of course the refurb cost is about the same price as the unit is new...

(my 2620 and 2610 are both running beautifully, though currently seem a
little over priced...)

Garmin UK are on 01764 519944. I also have had excellent service from
them. When I called asking where I could buy a replacement for the rubber
bungs that plug into the USB and antenna sockets on my 2610, they sent me
two free of charge in the post the next day..!
