Hello,

Thinking about a Navman icn 520 but have been told because my windscreen
is heated I need an external antenna. The one recommended is Haicom:
MMCX External Antenna and the question is does anyone know how these are
fitted? I understand the base is magnetic so do I need to drill a hole
in the roof to route the cable? Anyone have any experience or knowledge
of this?

TIA.

John .

Most heated windscreens have gaps in the lower corners where the heating
elements dont reach. Ive placed remote antennas there and had no problems.

Thanks to all who replied, The corner of the windscreen looks like it
has a clear area I will try this first and if no good get the antenna.

Cheers.
John.

The heated windscreen on my Ford Focus seems to have no detrimental effect
on my TomTom One, even when the latter is mounted in the middle of the
former.
