Ive got one, use it for cycling. Like it, does the job.

If youve already got Memory Map v5 get the Road Angel Navigator instead (about
Ł190) and download the Memory Map Client for free from Road Angel.

The screen in bright direct sunlight is rubbish, unreadable, even with
backlight
turned full up, youll need to shade it with your hand. This of course doesnt
bode well for battery life, I get about 4 hours with judicious use of the
screen
saver. You can of course get an external USB battery pack.

Trouble is if you want a waterproof, rugged unit with same mapping software on
your PC there really isnt a viable alternative.

Cheers

Neil

Excellent unit but I dont see a companion PC application that uses the same
mapping.

Adventurer was different hardware. If thats all the difference then I can
just get the Navigator then?

Just had a look at the site and it says its a 30 day trial, so if i do have
the functioning software how then would I install this on the Navigator so
there was not time limit?

Thanks

Once you have the client installed on the Navigator and connected to your PC
with Active Sync, in Memory Map on your PC do Mobile Device / Export Data to
Device or Mobile Device / Send Map and a full license will be transferred to
your Navigator.

This is exactly what I did. I had Memory Map v5 OS on my PC with a large
selection of Maps. Bought a Navigator from Halfords and downloaded the client
from Road Angel, all works fine.

Loads of good info here:
