Is it necessary to copy all your music to the internal memory to play MP3s?
Seems odd that the unit cant see my SD card in the 520 from the Jukebox
so not able to play tunes recorded in MP3 format.

No you can juse the SD card for music so long as the card is
compatible. Is the SD card visible in HOME or as an additional drive
on your desktop and are the music files in a folder named mp3 on the
card?

Yep

Nope.....Didnt notice any requirement stating that the folder needed to be
named anything at all.

Will change the folder name and see if it works.

TT Home 2.1 sees both internal memory and the card.
The Jukebox doesnt see the card.
1 gig SD card that worked flawlessly in TT6 in a PDA

Try creating a folder called mp3 on the card and manually copying an
.mp3 file into it.
