Possibly one of TomToms worst kept secrets but the GO920 has now been
officially announced.

On top of the specification of the 720 it adds 4GB Flash memory, full
European and US Mapping, a remote control and enhanced positionining
using solid state gyro technology.

No price has yet been fixed and availability (according to TomTom!) is
scheduled for Q4 2007.

More details and images on our website.

Why are you selling? Its still a great unit, has 20GB of storage
compared with the 920s 4Gb and will be upgradable to v7?

Im selling it because Ive gone back to using my PDA, the 910 is the
better unit but I *always* have my PDA with me so now I have put
bluetooth GPSes in all my cars because there were too many times when
Id hopped into the car to go somewhere, got there, then wanted to do
something that the satnav would have been useful for but it was sat at
home on the shelf. Carting it around with me and then hiding it was
getting to be a PITA, pointless when I always had the PDA and
bluetooth GPS units are so cheap and easily concealed. Other than
that Id keep the 910. Using both means hassle with POIs being on one
but not the other, could use some kind of syncing thing but even
easier just to go back to the ever-present PDA. The 910 has been sat
on the shelf for about 2 months now, unused.

Ill stick with the 910 for my own vehicles, but the thought of something
more portable for rentals is appealing. Can anyone suggest which PDAs can
be used as rock solid and stable TomTom platforms? How about an HP iPA

I can only comment on TTN5 but my Mio P550 works almost faultlessly.....
(the *very* occasional failure of Unlock the only bugbear, nothing a soft
reset wont handle)
