GPS FORUM

I recently bought a 2nd hand laptop, 2.5Ghz celery, so while its not
brilliant, its better than nothing :-}

Anyway... installed CS:EUv6 and CS:EUv7 on it, and imported the
PocketGPSworld speedcam POIs to it - is there a better way to do this,
as its slowed down to an absolute crawl (15-20 secs per screen
refresh) :-/

I have the transparent maps on my Garmin 2620 and they work a treat -
is there any way these could be used rather than POIs as they drag
system performance to unusable levels...

Perhaps im using a sub-optimal set of data, im not sure ? (I tried
the consolidated gpx list - do the i3 POIs drag it down as much ?)
