In my experience, easier said than done. Even a polish with windolene
doesnt seem to remove every last trace of mark.

Anyone got any tips or cleaning products that do the job quickly and easily?

The alcohol based surgical wipes work well but I just give the screen a wipe
with a cloth, thats good enough for me.

Whilst perusing Usenet on Wed, 7 Feb 2007 12:35:06 -0000, I read these
words from Tim Downie :

1) A cloth dampened with White Spirit aka Turps Substitute. ***
2) A cloth dampened with petrol (but itll stink the car out !)
3) Liquid metal polish ie Brasso, followed by a glass cleaner

You need something that will soften the gunk, a polish
generally doesnt do that.

***Although I expect the *other* white spirit
ie Vodka would also remove the marks.

Didnt you lubricate the sucker with washing-up liquid to help it stick in
the 1st place?

Um... how many GPS users keep washing-up liquid in their cars? I do what I
suspect most folk do, a quick smear of spit.

Of course, maybe I should use washing-up liquid. Anyone else use washing-up
liquid?
