Anyone used it?

I use autoroute 2000 every day, full postcode search and route
optimisation regularly saves me hours delivering up to 60 drops a day.
Is it worth the upgrade? Ive plenty of space in the cab for the
laptop, and the inverter keeps it going all day, but if theres any
reliability issues, or crap mapping, for instance, then Ill stick with
AR2000.

Thanks

I have AR 2004 UK and AR 2006 EU. The only regression that I have noticed
is that AR2006 location sensor does not give OS grid references (although it
will find them) only Lat & Long. The number of mapping errors is less,
and it includes changes (like new roads).

Hmm, I would recommend that you try before you buy. IMO every version of
Autoroute since 2000 has been a backward step. Yes you get updated maps but
the software gets to be slower and less useful in every revision.

IIRC 2000 still had the decent pub/restaurant database with reviews of the
places to eat and drink. Also the routing seemed to work well, with the
ability to tailor average speeds on each class of road. The current version
just offers a faster/slower slider.

TBH almost every other routing application I have used has been better than
Autoroute which has been dying the death since Microsoft got hang of it.
