Hello everyone.

Subject says it all really... I picked up a very old/cheap Holux GPS
module (OEM board GM-81) which lacks any built-in antenna, but has an
MCX-socket for an external one.

Well, Ive found a couple of DIY antenna designs on the net, but
funds are lacking, so Im asking if some kind soul might donate any
kind of MCX-plug lead, please - not fussy: any length, any/no connector
on other end, any condition provided still usable!

(Also, Id be interested in a broken GPS unit with busted
screen/case/etc., from which I could perhaps salvage the patch
antenna, or helical type...)

twice that (they dont sell it by length but by drum). And youll need a
crimping tool which will set you back Ł30.

It will be cheaper to buy a Glisson active antenna (which comes with a
built-in LNA).

Still, if you do want to go ahead, the bits you require can be bought at
Maplins and RS (Radiospares).
